Introductory Workshop (Suitable for all ages)
This 2-3 hour workshop is perfect for an afternoon of team bonding, or for anyone who would like to try their hands at ceramics.
During the workshop, participants will be introduced to clay as a medium, and learn about how it can be used to create functional forms. Participants will be guided to complete their pieces, and through the process, pick up basic handbuilding skills as well as an overall understanding of how to handle clay as a medium for art.
At the end of the workshop, participants will have completed their own functional form, such as a mug or bowl. We will glaze and fire the completed pieces, and participants can choose to pick it up from the studio, or have it mailed to them.
We also run this workshop for all schools. It is approved under the National Arts Council-AEP (?) 2019/2020, until 31 December 2020. Schools may use the Tote Board Arts Grant to subsidise the programme cost. For more information on pricing and lesson objectives, please refer to the NAC-AEP programme details.
