Why Clay?
There is no single “right” outcome. Give two people the same clay and tools, and they will create something completely different. That makes pottery a natural way to encourage creativity, conversation and an appreciation of the different ideas and perspectives within a team.
Depending on your organisation's objectives, sessions can place greater emphasis on personal creativity, shared experiences, collaboration or team interaction.

STEP 1
Choose your experience

Handbuilding
Hand-building involves shaping clay directly with your hands using techniques such as pinching, coiling and slab building. It is a flexible, expressive process that allows for organic forms and individual creativity.
Choose this if your team:
Wants greater individual creative expressions
Wants opportunity for collaborative experiences

Wheel Throwing
Wheel throwing involves shaping clay on a spinning pottery wheel by centring, opening and pulling the clay into form. The process is commonly used to create rounded forms such as cups, bowls and vases.
Choose this if your team:
Is up for a personal challenge
Wants an opportunity to create matching items
STEP 2
Choose your settinG
Choose a focused pottery session at our studio, bring the experience directly to your workplace, or take your team off-site for a more immersive experience surrounded by Singapore's ceramic heritage!
CREATE AT
OUR STUDIO
Bring your team into our working pottery studio for a focused, hands-on introduction to ceramics.
This is ideal for teams who want more time focused on making, learning pottery techniques and enjoying the atmosphere of a working ceramics studio.
GO BEYOND
THE STUDIO
Team Experience at the Dragon Kiln
Take your team out of the office and into a setting connected to Singapore's ceramic story. The Dragon Kiln setting allows us to go beyond simply making pottery: teams can explore different aspects of ceramics while learning more about clay, firing and the journey from raw material to finished ceramic ware.
For larger groups and organisations looking for a more immersive day out, the experience can also incorporate specially designed group activities that encourage interaction, communication and collaboration.
Suited for larger groups, company off-sites and teams wanting to get out of the office, discover Singapore's ceramic heritage and participate in a more expansive team-bonding programme.
WE BRING THE
CLAY TO YOU
The Clay People can bring a pottery experience to your office or company venue, turning your space into a temporary creative studio.
For teams that want convenience, this options allows for an addition of a creative element to a company programme without requiring the team to travel elsewhere.
Customised corporate experiences
From a relaxed creative session to a larger team experience, we can tailor the format of our programmes around your organisation.
